Where are you located?

I am located in Redondo Beach at Kids Unfiltered Child and Family Counseling Services office space.

Note: Services are available only to clients physically located in California, as required by my California AMFT registration.

What are your session fees?

Sessions are $175 per 50-55 minute session with some availability to offer lower fees if needed, however this will be determined by availability and consultation with my Supervisor. In addition to the session time, the session fee covers planning, research, consultation, and collaboration with outside providers.

Do you accept insurance?

As an Out-of-Network provider, I can offer you a Superbill to be submitted to your insurance for partial reimbursement. For more information about this, please ask!

Do all sessions take place in-person?

Typically sessions will be in-person for child and adolescent-based sessions, especially for the kiddos who are hyperactive. Due to the nature of my strategies and interventions often involving art and play, in-person sessions tend to be the most effective form of delivering services. However, there may be consideration of Telehealth option if it’s clinically indicated to do so.

What is Art Therapy?

Art Therapy as defined by the American Association of Art Therapy is,”…a mental health profession that enriches the lives of individuals, families, and communities through active art-making, creative process, applied psychological theory, and human experience within a psychotherapeutic relationship”. Note: Everyone is inherently creative and/or has the ability to strengthen that muscle. You don’t have to be an artist or even “artsy” to make art.

Why is Play used in my child’s therapy?

Play is used in therapy with children because play is their natural language. While adults process experiences through conversation, children communicate, explore emotions, and make sense of their world through play.

What if I need crisis or urgent support?

I do not provide crisis support. My services include safety assessment and collaborative safety planning within ongoing therapy, but I am not available for urgent crisis response. If you are experiencing an emergency or are in immediate danger to self or others please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. You may also call 988 the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (Press 2 for Spanish).
